At the weekend I did a credit check and found out I have a ccj outstanding from 08, I have traced the company right back to a company called amber solutions which seems to have been a car insurance lender (I always pay monthly)
But it seems that they have gone into liquidation, or isnt trading anymore.
Now what do I do??
I need this gone or settled asap as wanting to rent property and this may /most prob hinder chances greatly
Any advice would be welcome

You wont get rid of it, the best you can do is settle it. You can find out who the receivers / administrators of the company were and approach them.0

It drops off your file in 1 year. You could be economical with the truth and forget that you checked your credit file and in one years time make an application totally forgetting that you ever had a CCJ.0

Never wise to lie about something so serious.0 -

Sorry pardon my assumption, thats the thing with internet forums.
I appreciate that living with your parents isn't ideal, but it is cheap and there is still no guarantee you will get credit with a CCJ on your file even if it is satisfied. At least not a mortgage anyway because they look back the full 6 years in most cases, but a landlord rental credit check you will probably be fine.0 -
Not all private landlords do a credit check, especially those who don't use a Letting Agency Service."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
