Credit score from Experian - panic over

Was talking to my other half over the weekend about us getting a mortgage next year and how we need to start planning now. I suggested she check her credit file at some point to check everything is in order so any amendments or remedial action could be taken now and I'd talk her through anything that didn't make sense or needed explanation.

Imagine my shock today when I received a text message from her saying she had checked Experian and had an "excellent credit score" of 993. I immediately replied to check she hadn't wasted money on their pretty meaningless score and after a wait of a few hours it transpires that she used the free trial. I didn't realise that it includes the pointless score and she didn't pay extra for it.

Phew!
