I would just like to take this moment to wish myself a....
1 year on and, despite lots of set backs and unexpected financial disasters (as well as the slip ups along the way:o ) - I have still managed to pay off 1665.13.
I know this may not seem a lot to many who have mananged so much more but if it hadn't been for discovering this site and all you fab people I would be much further in debt than I am now and paying stupid interest rates on the lot:eek:
I update my diary thread on here every Fri and it really helps to keep me focused. When I think things are going wrong I update my sig and realise that things aren't as bad after all and because of this sight I am (slowly) getting there. It gives me a bit of a sense of pride too coz I know that I'm in control now and am sorting things out!!:money:
Does anyone else celebrate their LB MOMENT Anniversary?:D
I also want to add a huge
THANK YOU

Just think, if you hadn't have had the LBM, you'd probably have added to the debt rather than paying it off!

Well done Jet and remember its not the size that matters its all relative. How much of your debt have paid off in percentage terms? Ive paid off over 10K but it is only 21% of my debt. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well done Jet and as Storm says at least the total's going down, think what it might be now if you hadn't had the LBM. I hope you manage your DFD by the end of the year - what a celebration that would be!Mortgage OP 2026 £640/2000Mortgage balance: £32,222

Thank you all for your messages
I am definitely hoping to be debt free by the end of the year but the bulk will be from a compensation claim for a scar on my leg.
I think that the main thing I've learnt is to try and keep every thing at 0% and budget!!! (Thx CAFCGirl :T)JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -
