I would just like to take this moment to wish myself a....

HAPPY LB MOMENT ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

1 year on and, despite lots of set backs and unexpected financial disasters (as well as the slip ups along the way:o ) - I have still managed to pay off 1665.13.

I know this may not seem a lot to many who have mananged so much more but if it hadn't been for discovering this site and all you fab people I would be much further in debt than I am now and paying stupid interest rates on the lot:eek:

I update my diary thread on here every Fri and it really helps to keep me focused. When I think things are going wrong I update my sig and realise that things aren't as bad after all and because of this sight I am (slowly) getting there. It gives me a bit of a sense of pride too coz I know that I'm in control now and am sorting things out!!:money:

Does anyone else celebrate their LB MOMENT Anniversary?:D

I also want to add a huge

THANK YOU

to Martin - where would we be without you :confused:

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Just think, if you hadn't have had the LBM, you'd probably have added to the debt rather than paying it off!

I can't wait for my anniversary (few months to go yet ) so I can sit and take stock of everything I've achieved in the year.

So tell us... what's the most important money thing you've learned this year?

Well done Jet and remember its not the size that matters its all relative. How much of your debt have paid off in percentage terms? Ive paid off over 10K but it is only 21% of my debt.

Well done Jet and as Storm says at least the total's going down, think what it might be now if you hadn't had the LBM. I hope you manage your DFD by the end of the year - what a celebration that would be!

Thank you all for your messages

I am definitely hoping to be debt free by the end of the year but the bulk will be from a compensation claim for a scar on my leg.

I think that the main thing I've learnt is to try and keep every thing at 0% and budget!!! (Thx CAFCGirl :T)

My debt would have increased by 1.5k at least just in 2007 plus it would have all been at 17.9%
