you can only take what you are allowed unless where you work they let you take time off without getting a holiday form signed off and then pay you without checking that they have already paid you a full years entitlementWhere I work, if you take more leave than your entitled to , then the answer is yes.
Seems your place pass the buck there as you can not pay yourself for time off that you have taken that you are not due! How odd!
