Medical Loan
Options
Hi Folks,
One of my friends is looking at getting a loan for some surgery, it's cosmetic but not for vanities sake!
Anyway she is looking at getting a loan for this and seems to think a medical loan company would be the best bet, I think a bank loan would be better.
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!

She needs to consider how much she needs, what her income is, what her credit rating is like and who is most likely to lend to her at a favourable rate.
Having said that, a lot of providers of cosmetic surgery appear to offer decent finance deals, but presumably because the procedures are fairly over priced in the first place.0 -
If it is cosmetic, but not for vanity's sake, then she may be able to obtain the surgery via the NHS. If she has a disfigurement that severely affects her well being, she may be eligible. Tell her to talk to her GP.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Been through GP and referred to the hospital, NHS said no.
Worse part is it was their surgery in the first place that now requires here to seek further surgery, go figure!0 -
Not knowing the circumstances its hard to advise, but it seems a bit of a waste to spend money on something that the NHS dont seem to think is important enough to treat.0
