Credit Union in liquidation

So I have a debt that was sold on by a credit union to a debt collection agency and currently have an arrangement to repay to the debt collection agency.
The credit union has since gone into liquidation - does anyone know if this means I no longer have to repay the debt and if so, how do I go about sorting it out.
Anyone know?

Who owns the debt?
You will either have to pay the DCA, or pay the liquidators.
