How much tax allowance can I claim for a new van for work

Hi all,I am self employed and this year bought a newish van for work. I paid £5000.for it . My question is how much can I claim back in tax allowance for it?

You can claim 100% of it as an expense.0

You may claim up to 100% of the cost of the van but as a capital allowance, not an expense. The difference is nil in monetary terms but if you are completing your own tax return the claimed amount will be in a diferent box.The only thing that is constant is change.0
