bankruptcy and credit reports

hi all

i've recently been discharged from bankruptcy and have been getting my credit reports in to check everything is correct.

There are a couple of age old debts that I had completely forgot about as I'd had no correspondence from the companies for a long time. As they weren't mentioned in the bankruptcy would I still owe them or will they be wiped out and have just missed out?

Either way I want to clear them off my file ASAP. anyone been in this situation or have any advice?

thanks

If they are from before you went BR, they'll be covered by it & therefore cleared/satisfied (unless they were secured debts which have to be dealt with differently under BR). You could send the companies a copy of your BR order as well as a copy of the letter confirming your BR discharge if you have one, and ask that they update your records. You can send the same info to the credit reference agencies. I think I've seen some standard letters on this that you can send - if I find them, I'll post the link. :)
