Help!
Had some pink tissue paper on light oak coloured table. One of the dearest darling dds must have knocked a cup of water over the table soaking the tissue paper. You guessed it, the dye came out of the paper and stained the table. It lay undiscovered for a few days so when spotted the stain is well n truly stained on. Any ideas how to get it off! Ta all! Xxx

You might want to get this in an inconspicuous place first, especially as you don't say whether it is varnished or treated in anyway. Take a fifty fifty mix of bleach with water on a white cloth (I use an old white sheet), soak the rag in the bleach solution and smith over stain. You need to leave it for at least an hour or two; although I leave it overnight. Turn a heavy pan or bowl over it if you have cats.

Thanks for advice! On closer inspection I think table is imitation veneer.0

Try hairspray squirted liberally (running off the table!) all over the stain. Give it a moment to dissolve the ink and then wipe away. Hopefully it'll work. I've got permanent marker off our solid oak varnished table using this method
