Please help me with my maths.

Hi, I was thinking of dropping my hours, and i wondered if someone could help me with the calculation, as i am terrible at maths. I work full time term time at the moment, and get my pay averaged over the year. I work 39 weeks a year full time, and have the 13 weeks school holidays off, i currently get net £1050 a month, and i'm on approx £8 an hour. I work 7.24 hours a day. If i upped four days to 8 hours x4 a week = 32 hours, i would lose 5 hours a week for 39 weeks, i was doing 39 weeks x 5 hours = 195 x 8 pph = £1560 divided by 12 = £130, so would i lose £130 pounds a month? Thanks for your help.
By the way, i'm not a teachers, so no jokes about my maths!!

You are currently working 37 hours a week and are thinking about 32 hours a week for the same weeks. So at the same rate of pay you would get 32/37 of what you are on now.
For an exact figure we need to know what your gross pay is as you will be paying less tax and NI.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

The problem is you have not worked out the reduction in holiday pay.0

Pay is for 39 weeks work plus holiday spread over 52 weeks. Holiday weeks would be similarly reduced in paid length.
What would you do to work out the reduction in holiday pay?0 -
Gross pay is £1259.62 a month. My holiday entitlement is reduced accordingly, ie at the moment i get 3/4's of my entitlement.0

Ok this is the way our council work it out.
Hourly rate x no of hours worked per week x 42.67 to get your annual rate.
This is then divided by 12 to get what you are paid monthly.
So for 37 hours it would assuming 8 an hour would be £1052.52 a month.
And for 32 hours it would be again assuming 8 an hour £910.29.
So overall a reduction of £142.23 but Tax and NI may make the figures different as these are all gross.0 -

So your new gross pay would be 32/37 (holiday pay still in proportion) x 1259.62 = £1089.40
Running this through a tax + NI calculator gives £975.60 a month - but comparing your gross and net it looks like you also have pension deducted so your take home pay would be about £940.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

depends, ratherthan a reduction I would work out the entitlement
If the holiday is statutory min then if you work 39 weeks you are entitiled to
5.6(39/46.4) weeks holiday which is 4.71 weeks so you need to be paid for 43.71 weeks.0 -

if the 42.67 weeks is for a 39 week working year, then they have got it wrong as thye are not adding enough holiday weeks.0
