I'm getting a new kitchen from B&Q and my dad being 60 has a card from B&Q which entitles him to 10% (I think) discount on Wednesdays.

I'm going over Wednesday, he is coming along to make the purchase with his over 60's card. Now the tricky part how does this work in regards to payment on my card, delivery address etc?

Sorry if wrong forum, it's hard sometimes to select one which doesn't have any easy fit.

Please don't refer to it as an OAP discount card, but as an Over 60's discount card, which is how B&Q advertise it & it sounds so much better. :o)

You cannot buy kitchens or bathrooms or bedrooms from B&Q using this card, so unfortunately there is no 10% discount to be had on any of these items.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Thinking about it, my dad doesn't look like an OAP like say my nan lol

Shame, knew it was too good to be true.

As well as what cattie says about it cannot be used to purchase kitchens, bathrooms or bedrooms, I have found that the Diamond Card holder has to be the person offering payment, so you woudn't be able to pay on your card. Also delivery must be to the Diamond Card holders address.

I was in B&Q last Wednesday and bought some kitchen wall units and the doors that i had ordered online.
My mother in law who has a card was with me and when i went to the till she produced the card and i was given the discount.
I think if your not ordering a fitted kitchen and are either going to order online or just off the shelf you can still get the discount. or I might have just been lucky.
