SWIFT Transfer Lost

Hi There,

I recently transferred a sum of money to a Slovenian bank via a SWIFT wire transfer (transferred in GBP from Nationwide).

The Slovenian bank are saying no money has been received and won't help further. Nationwide are saying the money definitely left and went to the account and won't help further. I'm stuck in the middle with a load of money in thin air!

Added to this, Nationwide recently lost a load of money transferring from my bank account to credit card which took 2 weeks to recover. I'm quickly losing all my confidence in Nationwide!

As for the current situation, it has been 8 working days since the transfer which was told to take no longer than 2 working days.

I have no idea what to do or where to go from here! I confirmed the details with Nationwide and the Slovenian bank and they were correct...!

What do I do?!

    As an update, Nationwide have started a forward trace which can take over 10 days and apparently there is 0 obligation for the other parties to respond to Nationwide meaning I may never get a result from it.

    This is ridiculous.. £1,000 has basically vanished into thin air. Other bank showing they haven't received it and Nationwide showing they have sent it...!
