how do you stretch jeans

Not sure if this is the best place to post or not so excuse me if not. I have jeans which are a bit tight on the waist - not sure if it's just me putting on weight or result of going through the drier or a combination of the two...
Anyway does anyone have any tried and tested methods of stretching jeans particularly at the waist?
Thanks

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Generally, Jeans will stretch back to their normal size after being tight from the dryer once on, if you think its your weight you'll have to cut down! Alternatively, put them on slightly damp, shove something down the waistband, and bend around a bit to stretch it.0

Put them on when you don't have to go out anywhere, and wear them for a few hours without doing them up (hence the not going out bit!) They usually start to 'give' a bit from body heat, and after a while you may find that you can do them up at the waist as well. Wear until the 'give' is enough to do them up properly.
If this doesn't work then it may have to be the "eat less/move more" method .....
