It is never too late to sort your debts out I am sure you will find lots of support and advice on here. If you want to talk to someone now about your debt why not visit your local CAB or call Payplan. However I am sure CCCS will be able to help you next week.

    Hi Poppie

Can you do me a favour and pop your SoA onto this thread so we can have a look at whether you can save anything else.

Have a look on the main DFW forum page and look at the first time posters thread which will explain how to do this.

But it will be ok and you have made a great start coming here and more people will be along soon to offer more advice.

I think most people bury there heads in the sand or go in to denial which i know i did.

Also its not uncommon to rob Oetr to pay Paul.

You have done the best thing that you can do by facing up that you have to sort it out.

I wish you well and hope that it all sorts itself out for you in the end.

Let us know how you get on. If you ever need a motivation boost or a bit of a moan, hop on the board and we'll try and cheer you up.

But you can do it, remember it will be worth it in the end.

    Hi Poppie,

Well done for posting and extremely well done for contact CCCS! It is never too late to deal with your debts and now you are making positive steps that hopelessness you feel will start to lift.

You don't need to be teccy to do your SOA... just write a list of your incomings and outgoings. And another one of your debts. If you miss anything, folk here will help you out. The hardest part of the SOA is facing it all - and you are going to do this with CCCS next week, so consider this a headstart.

Take care and try to smile even when it feels completely unnatural.

You need to stand back a second and get some perspective, your life is definately worth a heck of a lot more than 30k!

Once you get your finances back under control, you'll look back and wonder what all the fuss was about. Meanwhile, keep posting and reading other posts on here. DFW is a great community and everyone is really supportive and helpful. Good luck, you'll get there in the end!

Hey listen, it's only money, and regardless of the amount there is ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS a better way out than topping yourself, so please don't think like that. Put your SOA up, and you'll get loads of help, and not too far down the line, you'll look back and realise that you've found the way out, and it wasn't as bad as it may look now. You are the most valuable thing you've got, and the rest is, relatively, unimportant.
