First time buyer mortgage with historic poor credit

Morning
I'm currently looking in to buying a first house with my partner and am looking at mortgage options. We're looking at around 100k house and have a 10% deposit. I have a fully satisfied default for £400 from a credit card from back in sept 2007. Will this stop me getting a mortgage?

How much do you earn, could be tight with a smallish deposit.
Why not wait a few months until this default drops off?0 -
I'm on 23k and my partner is on 18k. Probably will end up waiting for it to drop off jus trying to find out if it would still make an impact given how old it is.0

Do you currently owe anything between you on credit cards or loans?0

90% with a visible default is likely to be difficult.
Chances are you'll mess about having speculative searches done by lenders who can't tell you what your chances are without.
Is the default visible on all three credit files?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
