A night away with the dog - where ?

Would love to get a night or 2 away over the twelfth holidays to escape the madness in belfast - but we have no family to mind the dog so will need to take it with us . Can anyone recommend anywhere either in the Antrim coast or Donegal or eniskillen ? Anywhere really just to get away for a wee break . Thanks

Yes - try Harvey's Point - close to Donegal Town - BRILLIANT Place - so so friendly towards dogs and humans  - Honestly a great break - couldn't ask for better!

Loads of hotels allow dogs, especially small dogs. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised if you checked a few websites or phoned around a bit.

This is a little hidden treasure. I've stayed here. It's well off the beaten track, no roads nearby so the dog can be allowed out. It's a farm environment and blisfully peaceful.

  • Harvey's Point in Donegal and The Killyhevlin Hotel in Enniskillen both allow pets to stay in their hotels, do say beforehand though, so that special arrangements can be made. Good luck and hope all works out for you :)

I rang the killyhevlin after seeing a few rates on their website for July and August . I was quoted double the rate , and told the special rate on their website did not run in July , and quoted £45 extra as I had a (miniature ) dog staying with me - 2 nights !!!! Back to the drawing board !!!
I can't seem to get anywhere, don't mind where we go , donegall, Antrim coast, Enniskillen - wherever , just as long as we can bring the wee dog !!!!
