thats very odd - I used 3 25% off shampoo vouchers on the half price Elvive shampoos in separate transactions this morning, one on a manned till and 2 on self service, and they all worked just fine and brought the price down to 75% off full price. So did the 25% off dental one on the Colgate Max one battery toothbrush (only got one of those vouchers though).

The ones that didn't work for me today were the £2 off any mascara over £3, and the 100 points for any mascara. They had to both be manually overridden at the till by the SA (my mascara was £4.99 full price).

Went to boots with my mum to buy Colgate Max white one - she had 25% voucher at her ACM I had 10% - used both on one transaction against one item and got the toothbrush for 91p!! So we got 3

Same discounts for Dove hair conditioner which is currently on half price and paid 36p!! Extremely happy bunny xx :beer:

When "computer says no" while attempting to use a voucher, most of the time the SA will not over-ride it but say "it won't work because the product is already on offer".

It appears to be an unwritten, poorly implemented Boots policy.


Browse any Boots thread and you will see this time and again.

my 25% one went though no problem on the Colgate mouthwash -sa didn't bat an eye !

Was tempted to go print more off but oh was getting [STRIKE]impatient[/STRIKE] grumpy !!!!

Advantage card machine - they are located in Boots stores for Advantage card holders to use.

Didn't work for me on Dove compressed deoderants - was on offer at a third off.. plus voucher for 10% off deoderants from ACM.

It only took 10% from full price, so I paid more than the shelf offer price...:eek:

Worked a treat for me today. Got two Colgate max white toothbrushes for £1.53 each thanks to the 25% off acm voucher. Also got a voucher for 25% off female deodorants so got the Nivea Pearl & Beauty spray which was on half price offer at £1.64 but went through at 81p with the voucher (again taking the 25% off full price).

I also got a acm voucher for 25% off shower gels so used the same trick to get Nivea diamond touch cream oil (on half price at 97p) for 48p!
