Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange Probs

Hi are there any other people in Norn Ire who have or are having probs with the above broadband service? Mine down tonight, and not a happy bunny!

We had problems a few months ago with ours disconnecting all the time. Not sure if this is your problem. I emailed them and got a reply to download a higher speed modem. The link was https://www.orange.co.uk/membercentre/eightmegupgrade.htm. Touch wood its worked fine since then. maybe this might help you! Good luck!!

Thanks for the info but wouldn't help have under 2 meg speed, and use a wireless router. Was hoping that other people in the antrim, Lisburn area were experiencing probs. think Orange are messing with the exchange.

Thanks I found this site, connection now much better although a little sl;ow at times and data light goes out on router and have to manually connect to internet. Will give it a few more days, if no change will migrate.

A friend of mine was very pi**ed off with Orange and rang to get his MAC code so that he could move. They eventually offered him 6 months free with a promise that service would improve within 6 weeks. He is staying but if service does not improve he will be off.
