I honestly couldn't fault Barclays banking at all even before I became BR the other week I was amazed at how much better their banking systems were compared to Bank of Scotland. once I got used to the layout their internet banking is so much more intuitive and the always show your available balance when you log in as opposed to Bank of Scotland showing balance then underneath in smaller font available balance and then you having to go to pending transactions and having to work out what was coming off when which used to drive me mad cuz it would take ages to work out and keep track of. Thought all banks were the same until this, wish I changed sooner! Would definitely recommend ppl needing to change they change to Barclays

just a point of interest BOS also know I am bankrupt it say it on my file when I phone up but they aren't removing my overdraft eligibility although I am closing the account so it doesn't matter lol

Did u open your Barclays account before or after bankruptcy. I'm submitting forms next Friday and then court a few weeks after that. Should I open Barclays account now or wait until after?

If Barclays are a creditor in your BR open after court if they aren't a creditor open an account now, click on this blue link and read post one.

Hi I opened I before because I knew I was gonna make myself bankrupt, after my last wage I started to move all my direct debits/standing orders across etc so it was all set up in time for BR going through (I am in Scotland) incase they froze my bank of Scotland account, but they haven't.

I opened the Barclays account online, I went for a standard account but that was refused and I got an email next day saying you still qualify for card cash account (no overdraft/cheque book) do you want it I replied said yes and that was it all paperwork/internet/telephone banking sent in the post. They really have been fantastic!
