Cleaning a stainless steel bin

Hello all
My steel kitchen bin is looking a bit ropey, had it a few years now and just wanted to know the best way to clean it. When I've cleaned it before it seems impossible to get the stains out. What would be best to use?

I use a really good little bottle of stuff that came with my fridge. I can't remember the name of it off hand but it's basically oil. It got me thinking about cleaning with oil, and I just found this:
