Marks and spencers question- Dose any one work for them

Today the Benafits agency very kindly gave me some notes for a M&S vacancy not yet on the Worktrain website.
With some serious effort I managed to find their recuitment website, and print out the list of 26 jobs for the region, including two for the town where I live, which had no resemblance to the ones described by the jobcentre notes.
I went into the branch refered to in my notes but the HR/ personel female was happy to admit to the existence of the vacancies in my notes but was incapeable of giving me any idea of when they might appear on their recruitment website so that people might apply for them. I had the distinct impression that she was either working her notice or had to much time on her hands.
The positions in my notes where not yet on the worktrain website either

"Does anyone work for them?"
Of course somebody works for them! It stands to reason that they must have employees.
I think perhaps what you were trying to ask was: "does anybody on this forum work for them?"
What information/advice are you after? Perhaps if you stated what you are trying to find out, somebody who works for M&S might reply.0 -
bedpotato--The title of my thread is meant to attract an M&S employee to answer my M&S question.
If one sees my thread, hopefully they will-They are best placed to then read my question and comment0 -
Could be that they have been pulled due to number of applicants for the position.
It's also likely that the person you spoke to in store might have been an admin for that store only but has no direct control over what goes onto the recruitment website & when.
Also having just had a rush of blood to the head, "serious effort" to find their job page? I concur I do not know if you have difficulties but I found it within less than 3 seconds - not what I'd consider a serious effort.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

You haven't actually asked a question.

If your question is along the lines of..
Do the people in store know about vacancies?
Usually, yes.
Can they give specifics about it?
No, not usually because recruitment (except for returners) is done via the website.
Can I speak to HR in store?
Almost all HR functions have now/are being moved centrally or outsourced so indivdual store HR departments are being closed or moved.0
