Feeling really low today, dont know if I can go on (know I will but feel so bleak), CCCS paperwork arrived with some errors on it, it said I had £53 spare to pay off 60K of debts, but in fact it should have read £153 to clear 70K. I have tried to get in contact with my advisor giving her my mobile number but she keeps ringing my home number when I am at work. Do I need to produce the CCCS paperwork at the BR Court?
I plan to go to court on 1st June as it will be the first date I can do this (saving for fees and my mother is ill so I have to go and see her).
OHs bank account delayed in setting up so his salary will go into my new A&L account until his is open and then will transfer it all across to this account, what way will this get viewed by the courts? He had to set up an account as we had a shared savings account with Nat West that his salary was paid into and as most of my debts are with Nat West I couldn't afford for them to take his money. Also I heard that A&L will automatically close account on hearing of BR.
As I said in an earlier posting all the debts are in my name, he didn't even know that I was in debt, he knows I will be going for BR but still doesnt know the amount involved (cant own up to this).
I dont see going BR as the easy option, but if I am feeling like this, could I cope with it for over 20 years on a DMP, worried I will end up going off sick long term and then be in a worse position, we have a young child and she knows something is wrong with mummy but trying to stay positive for her sake.
Sorry to waffle but I am hoping there is light at the end of this very long dark tunnel.

Hiya OTM, I'll try to answer as much as possible, may not have all the answers for you but wanted to try to reassure you a bit until somebody else came along who could helpowetoomuch wrote: »Feeling really low today, dont know if I can go on (know I will but feel so bleak), CCCS paperwork arrived with some errors on it, it said I had £53 spare to pay off 60K of debts, but in fact it should have read £153 to clear 70K. You won't need to produce this paperwork, so don't worry about it. Are you sure you have included everything possible in your SOA, if you feel up to it post your details on here and we will try to advise you as best as possible

Try to be as honest with him as possible, it will be much easier on yourself in the long run, I know it's hard but it doesn't really matter how much your debt was for you are dealing with it and that is what counts

Your health & happiness is what's important. Kids can pick up on so much. My daughter is 15 so I sat her down and told her that I was in a mess & that I was going to declare myself bankrupt. Told her that I may never be able to buy us our own home, that we will have to budget for everything & there won't be any luxuries for a long time. Her reply was that she didn't care she just wanted her mam back & wanted me to be happy

OTM I know just what you are going through. I never told my partner until the day after I filed my petition. The stress it caused me because I was keeping it from him was untrue. He was annoyed that I had kept it all from him (easier for me because we don't live together) I hope you can tell him soon and clear the air. Good luck and I hope your Mum's OK.0

Finally got to speak with my CCCS counsellor yesterday she will be sending me out updated information, also giving me an email address so that I can contact her quicker if I have any questions.
As I said earlier in post was hoping to do in on 1st June, spoke with my sister today and she told me to knuckle down and get everything done this week and do it as soon as my OHs money gets moved from my new A&L account to his account (his account delayed in being set up so we arranged for money to be paid into this new account this month, normally was paid into our Nat West First Reserve account) and she will give me this money so we are not short this month. Told OH today that he will now have to take responsibility for our money and give me allowance to do what I normally do (shopping and so on). Her reason for offering to do this is to try and stop me being so stressed and distressed.
My problem is I only have this months statements as I used to shred everything as soon as I paid minimum, I will try and get some on line but will this be a major problem?
Still waiting for the forms from the courts but am going to do them online, are there any particular things I should do first?

Please dont worry about not having statements. The OR can get trhem pronto from your creds. Good luckBR 18 Oct 2006 Discharged 16 April 2007 :T0

Yes. The OR can 'demand' any statements they need.
They see so many people who have buried there heads in the sand, and are used to having to deal with the issues (like this) that this can create. Believe me, you will probably be the n'th person the week you go BR to tell them the same thing.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
