Sports Physio Belfast

Can anyone recommend a good sports physio in Belfast? I have been plagued with knee issues training for this year's Belfast marathon, suspect it's my IT Band. I have been advised on running forums to buy a foam roller and maybe see a physio.

If it's a Private one you're looking I can recommend the ones up near the Ulster Hospital, on the Comber Road I'm going there ATM for a non-sports related injury, but they're full of athletes etc when I'm there. I feel out of place lol

    Hi

I had a lot of knee trouble due to running and used this place:

    http://www.apexclinic.co.uk/

    Apex Clinic,
    5 - 11 Summerhill Avenue,
    Stormont
    Belfast, BT5 7HD

    Tel: 028 9048 4153
    Fax: 028 9048 7218

Very good service, I would really recommend.

Another fan of Dundonald Physio on Comber Road - they specialise in sports injuries and do specific stuff to get you back to sport (in my case Rugby)

    Agree with this too.

Though not cheap, but very good.
  • Belfast Sports and Spinal on the Saintfield Road very good and got me back resistance training after other Physios failed.
  • Recommend the new replay clinic in Belfast - really thorough and professional - specialising in sports injuries.
Got my dodgy knee sorted and back to running again.
  • Just noticed date of original post - bit late to the party! Hope your knee is sorted by now :-)

Hi yeah I got sorted, I went to Sports Injury Ireland at Connswater Fitness First. The physio Andrew was terrific, I ended up doing 3:38 in the marathon 3 weeks later. Andrew is a great physio.
