Resignation accepted after we withdrew it

We set up a catering business in a golf club ( Franchise ) We have been bullied by all three captains this year and handed in a resignation letter in the heat of the moment after being told to change our attitudes or look for another job. Within 12 hours I withdrew my resignation however the committee have met tonight and we lost with a vote of 2 however they are saying they have accepted our resignation yet we withdrew it . Where do we stand please. Our work comes with accommodation and we have three weeks to get out.

We were told our attitudes needed to change as the club were ordering meals for a set amount of people yet when it came to eating the numbers used to dwindle and we wanted paying for the amount ordered but apparently we should expect it as they are a golf club yet were a separate catering business

I guess the Committee firstly considered your resignation and accepted it, then considered its withdrawal and didn't accept that.

No they didnt discuss the resignation at all. I was very quick to withdraw it ! They have no grounds to get rid of us apart from the club captains friend who lives two miles from the club wants to take over the franchise we currently hold ;)

Your resignation can only be withdraw with their permission.

This doesn't sound like a straightforward employment matter - if you were employees, you'd probably not be talking about a franchise, or about having a separate catering business.

Do you have a written contract setting out what your personal relationship with the golf club is? Or a contract setting out your business' relationship with the golf club? If you do, what does that say about terminating the relationship?

I think that one can't get on with everybody, and that maybe the golf club and you two are not the right fit anyway. If it had just been one chap then perhaps it would have been just a personality clash, but as it's 3 captains maybe it is a sign that that particular golf club and you aren't right.

Tricky with it being your accommodation too though. But is that the only real reason you'd want to stay? Could your notice period be agreed to be extended?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

they want flexibility in their terms (and yes this is normal, I have a lot of golf course experience)

You dont want to offer it, so your organisations are incompatible ultimately
