Paypal dispute

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been posted before but I'm not sure what to do.
I recently bought some items from a well known clothing chain online and used a discount code found on here to get 15% off. The discount was taken off no problem but after I paid I noticed it had been removed and full price charged on my Paypal account. I used the back button and got back to the basket to take a screenshot of the order with discount - never had that happen before. I emailed them and asked why this happened and could they cancel or amend my order.
The reply was that they would refund the difference but after a couple of weeks I still hadn't been refunded so I opened a dispute on Paypal to which they replied they would not be giving me the refund as it was an 'international' code. I told them others had used it without problem (and I think they were lying although I didn't write that) and I think they should still refund me as promised. Their response was that I should close the dispute so they can refund me.
Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Is it wise to close the dispute when DP's have already lied once about providing a refund? I'm assuming I can't then reopen it if they change their mind again?
Thanks for your help

Despite is closed on e the agreement has been reached and refund issued is what I'm sure is eBay/paypal rules I would check out despute in eBay/PayPal rules page and quote that too them- that should help. They are trying to force you to end dispute and I'm afraid it doesn't work like that.... Good luck0
