Am i the only person that never got sedatives before getting a Colonoscopy??

I am a strong person and can take pain. I dont get nervous about pain. This was one of the worst experiences in my life!

Don't be scared. It really is nothing. I am surprised your hospital haven't been through all this with you. You normally go in for a pre-assessment and they discuss sedation etc.

I didn't feel a thing, I was conscious but couldn't have cared less what they were doing. It's a great feeling!:rotfl:
I came home with a colour pic of my colon and they removed a polyp while they were in there.:)

No problem with the procedure at all (apart from the clear-out before hand)
    I think
I had sachets of picolax (?) and dissolved in water tasted of nothing really.
tbh I can't remember much about it, slept like a log that night and remember feeling amazing the day after -must have been from the clear out.
    best wishes
    xx

Get some moist toilet tissue and some magazines. If you are anything like me, you'll be spending a lot of time on the loo.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!
