Recommendations on Washing Machines and Fridge Freezers.

Options
Hi Folks

I'm in the market for a new Fridge Freezer and Washing Machine, Would appreciate any fav recommendations or any don't touch with a bargepoles. Beko seems to be getting a hammering.

For Fridge Freezer I would like at least a capacity of fridge 159 net
Freezer 95 net and four drawers. Purely because this is what I'm used to and don't want less than 4. I don't want an american style. just fridge on top Freezer on bottom.

Last Washing Machine was 7kg and 1200spin. Eco one, but took long time for washing unless you remembered quick wash. some main points are quickish average wash time. separate spin. But still energy efficient. Not after much :rotfl:

I've been looking at Samsung Bubble's mostly because of extended warranty and current cash back deals. Anyone any experience of these. But they do seem very expensive.

Any advice much appreciated thanks.

I used John Lewis buying guides which were very useful and after looking all over the net and in shops I decided I could get more for the money by buying John Lewis own brands.

Had washing machine four months and fridge and freezer for 16 months without probs.

stay well clear of ariston. had one main door broke, cost £80 to get a new one.
    Hoover washing machine, lasted 10years
currently own a BEKO washing machine 1400spin, 3years, been fine.

White Knight freezer are a pretty good brand.
we gave our neighbour a chest freezer which they still use and we had it for 10years, changed to a front door type due to kitchen revamp.

I've recently bought a Neff washing machine (integrated & 1400 spin) and am very happy with it. Wash times are less than on my previous machine & it's a very quiet appliance compared to what I've had in the past.

If you are looking for a free standing machine, I know Bosch, who are under the same umbrella as Neff & Siemens are highly rated.

Why not pop into your local library to check out Which? best buys to see if that will help you make a choice?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I bought a Samsung eco-bubble washer/dryer in November and I am really pleased with it. It is really easy to use with a lot of programmable choices and so quiet compared to my last washer/dryer which was a 15+yr old ariston.
    Good luck with your purchase.

I've just bought a Samsung Bubble today, delivery this Wednesday. There was someone else buying one at the same time. In Curry's, they have reduced them at the moment, plus you get cashback (via a prepaid Visa card) and the warranty is five years. I bought this one:

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/laundry-dishwashers/washing-machines/samsung-ecobubble-wf70f5e2w4w-washing-machine-white-21248478-pdt.html

The other machine that I was looking at is a John Lewis with a three year guarantee:

    http://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-jlwm1204-washing-machine-7kg-load-a-energy-rating-1200rpm-spin-white/p231508105?kpid=231508105&s_kenid=1c609ef7-4b8b-d728-7314-000026c865f5&s_kwcid=ppc_pla&tmad=c&tmcampid=73

A decent warranty is important to me, as I use my washer a lot. I have three kids and one is disabled - he is doubly incontinent and vomits with relative frequency, so a washer that will last is a priority, along with a decent level of cleaning.

For a fridge freezer, I can't recommend one as I have separate appliances. I would say, though, that a frost free is much easier - no defrosting!

My washer arrived this morning and I've done three loads so far. It is incredibly quiet! I'm pleased so far, but Ive only had it for eight hours :rotfl:

The range of programmes is good, without having dozens that will never be used, and I like the soak and intensive wash features - I can see me using those, as I have two lads :D

The washing is coming out quite dry as well, so that's a bonus. I just need decent weather to hang it on the line now :p
