Peugeot Finance

Options
Hi Everyone,
I am a first time poster with a big problem.
In 2010 I purchased a Peugeot Bipper Van on finance, the agreement is £269 a month.
In the 3 years I've had the van, it has broken down 5 times with a transmission failure, the van will be going along the road/motorway and bang, just stops dead, the last time it happened I was in the fast lane of the M25 with my pregnant mrs in the passenger seat.
The van will be dead for around 5 minutes with a warning saying check transmisson, then all of a sudden it jumps back into life like nothing has happened.
Every time it has been into the garage they cannot find a fault with it and say its a fault that comes and goes so they cannot see it for themselves.
The last time it broke down was the last straw for me, the van was returned to the garage where it spent over a month there and they fitted new parts under the bonnet without my knowledge or say so.
I want to get rid of the van, I have been locked in an email war between myself and Peugeot, they claim the van fit for purpose, I strongly disagree.
They are claiming the only way out of the van and into a replacement vehicle, would be to return the van and sign a new contract for a new car under their 'just add fuel' deal. the other option is to return the van and pay £3500. The dealership where I purchased the van is not returning my calls or emails.

Im looking for abit of advice and maybe some help as I feel pressured by Peugeot to take the car. Im desperate to get out of the van as I cant trust it anymore but I want to know what my options are as a customer.
Any help would be great

Cheers
Steve

Could try posting this on the motoring board, probably better than the loans board for this type of question.

    Good Luck
