Debt Collection Agencies

Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello cos i'm new - then have a moan about deby collection agencies. (and Sky TV)
I am a full time student and a single mum so I rely heavily on the internet. I moved house to find that there had never been a phoneline in the plce and so I had to pay £125 to get one put in. I had no choice over this matter becasue Sky told that as part of my contract with them I HAD to have a BT line. Sky then preceded to tell me that If i didn't take out any OPTIONs with BT then I would not be under contract (bearing in mind that I am already under contract with SKY to provide my Phone.
This I did to then be told by SKY that I couldnt have internet in my area as it was not available in my area and it wouls cost me an extra £17.99 pm ( my contract included internet tv and phone for £23 pm)
To cut the story short I went back to Telewest and BT then charged me £192.00 for breach of Contract!!
Bearing in mind that I am still a very skint student i offered to pay them £10 p/m as it was all i could afford. they then said that as I couldnt pay in full then it would be passed on to a debt collection agency although bt would inform them that i had agreed to pay the £10 pm.
Bt then said that I would have to wait to hear from their DC Agency and pay it to them.
This letter Dated 15th May (rec'd 17th May) said that I had to pay £10 today cos I had agreed to pay by 15th. (the Bill has now gone up extra £20 for - costs incurred by client ?!!!)
When I phone DC agency they tell me that the whole amount is now due as I have defalted my agreement by not paying on 15th and they are now taking me to court for full payment (no doubt incurring more court costs)
Why do they have the right to just keep adding to my debt? I am trying so hard to pay it ( a debt in which i dnt feel that i even owe) and yet they seem to be just making things up and putting obstacles in my way in order to get more and more money out of me.
sorry its long einded guys but they just seem to be able to think of figures in thier head and then you HAVE to pay them it
