SAMSUNG DVD RECORDER £79.99 or £64.99 for new customers + interest free credit

Options
 OK OK, I know its not as good a deal as some that have been listed but it is in stock now and personally I like Samsung so I thought others might too which is why I am listing it. Also because it is a catalogue you could get £15 discount as a new customer and also interest free credit which makes it easier on those of us with limited spare cash :) so I hope I won't get a beating for posting something more expensive than others.

so why is it a "Quick! Grabbit" if it's more expensive than others

Surely this should be in Shop but don't drop

I think many people seem to miss the whole point of the "Grabbit" board - ie that it is for TIME-LIMITED offers which generally end on or around a specific date:
If you could use the following expiry convention on all posts E:31/01/04 so we can see when the offers run out or put E:UNKNOWN if not sure.
Clearly ANY offer, by definition, will only run until the supplier completely runs out of stock and a genuine bargain is likely to sell out quickly - but this doesn't make it a "Grabbit" if a time limit is not specified or implied (eg "this week only" or "offer expires on xxx").

Personally, I would suggest that the "grabbit" board be re-named to the "time-limited offers" board so that people are more aware of it's purpose (OK, so maybe the name's not quite so catchy, but at least it spells out what the board is all about).

    Just my thinking ......

    Am I missing something?
This is in the Shop don't Drop is it not? Or Has it been moved?

Regarding others replies why are there hundred's of expired threads in the Grabbit board? If the Grabbit board is actually that should not threads be moved or removed once the offer expires?

Should discussion be allowed on either Grabbit or Shop don't Drop?

Yes I can see it's been moved.

yes, it's been moved. As for the other part of your question about the expired threads, I'm sure they would all be moved/pruned as you want if there were many more moderators and many more hours in the day! I think the people who look after these forums for us all to enjoy do an absolutely grand job as it is but there are other things they have to do as well!

This has gone way off topic now so enuff said I reckon ;)

yeah but those old ones you quote look to be 'official' threads started by the MSE team which is not the same thing
