What is the best way to dry ear canals?

I usually get water trapped in my ears after a shower or after swimming, this is very annoying and i would like to know a rather cheap solution to this.
The ideas i have so far are either getting a bulb syringe or a normal ear syringe and just blowing air into my ears, not sure if this would work though. The other idea which should work is to buy a cheap hairdryer and using that.
Anyone have any ideas? would an empty 10 or 20ml syringe do the job?

You shouldn't really mess about with your ear canal. I lay with my head to the side when it happens to me. If you get water in your ear lot, I'd pop a pair of ear plugs in (the type you wear for swimming)0

Lie on your back and tip your head slightly until the water 'pops' on that side. Repeat for the other side

The practice nurse at my last GP's told me that the water became trapped in my ears because of a builf up of wax. I now use Otex from time to time and don't get the problem. I wear hearing aids and have had to have my ears syringed twice in about 3 years. It was really bad before and I would spend half a day, after a shower, not being able to hear anything and not put my aids in.
Otex is quite expensive, but works better for me, another one I used had Camphor in and caused me a lot of irritation.
(No affiliation to the product other than satisfied with the result)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I'm currently suffering from a similar problem and after having grommets inserted last year, I was told at my 6 month check up I should be wearing waterproof ear plugs to keep them dry! (wasn't told this initially) I'd recommend getting ear plugs to stop them getting wet in the first place as it can also keep irritating the inner ear and cause infections.0
