Bankruptcy Trustee

How do I know when the Trustee has finished? I have the Trustee from Hell and really don't want to contact them. They have been so unhelpful, twisted anything I've said, bullied me and have gone after my husband on a matter that they have no right to. I was discharged in March 2012 but have not heard anything for over a year.

I had 4 houses but they were all sold by July last year. I couldn't get to the right department at the mortgage people to find out whether they considered it to be finished. I had some penny shares but they haven't been cashed in as I'm still getting Year End reports etc, and the only other things were 3 pension funds, all very small. The trustee has all the certificates and paperwork0

Chances are, if you have heard nothing, you are discharged. They do not automatically send letters out. Although you don't loke them you are entitled to a letter of discharge if you have been. Just give them a call and ask

If you have the discharge cert from court? Then yes, it carries the same weight. In all honesty, some financial institutions prefer the court version anyway. Assuming you did pay for that, if you still wanted one from your trustee, it's free, just ring and ask. But what you have now is fine
