I tend to wear those triangular fronted cardigans over my tops but I thought it would be nice to have nice tops for the summer that won't need a cardi. I will definitely be making some of my own. Can't wait for the weekend so that I can buy a pattern or two.
    Thanks. j1n xx

Sweetilemon, I just had a look at Pepperberry (I had never heard of them) and they have some really very nice tuff. I will definitely buy one of their items and check out the fit etc.
Thank you everyone for your really helpful responses.

No problem! I stumbled apon them in their Glasgow store, they are linked to Bravissimo - the underwear shop.

Don't throw your tops out! Make the slit, but insert Triangles of lace about 2 inches wide at the bottom and about 4 inches high into the sides, you can hand or machine sew them in.

What a good idea! I might have to try that too :)

Pepperberry make their clothes with different "curvyness" grades so you chose your normal size then how curvy you would like your clothing. Hope this helps.

But Pepperberry clothes are fore people who can't get clothes to fit over their boobs, not their hips - not sure this would help the OP!

Sorry, I didn't reaslise it was specifically just for a bigger bust, thought the whole top would be curvier ie, more nipped in at the waist and shoulders and bigger on the bust and hips but sorry if i've got it wrong!

Lace would be good or matching satin ribbon. You could use a bit more to put a bow somewhere (sleeves, neck) to match it all up.

I'd suggest doing this for any decent tops that you really love but for the future I'd go for the more 'smocky' shapes. There's plenty around.
