Need advise re. paying shortfall

We will have a shortfall of £24,000 when our morgage ends in 10 years. We are hoping to move soon and estimate that we will need to borrow an extra £40,000 which we will pay over 10 years, repayment, which as far as I know is the only way to go now.
I was wondering if anyone can advise me if it would be best to change £24,000 of our interest only to replayment or would it be better to save up the £24,000 in an ISA over 10 years.
BTW if anyone has any advise about a cheaper way than capital repayment for the further £40,000 I`d be very interested.
Thanks
