Father of the Bride Speech Question

My husband is making his speech at his daughters wedding (my elder stepdaughter) OH is on friendly terms with his ex and her partner and I with them. My husband is wondering if in his speech he can mention the support and help that his ex has had from her partner and he from me with regard to helping to assist with the wedding ie a short mention. Would it be odd? Any advice/possible wording greatly appreciated.
