Short Stay in UK working

Hello,

I live here and have national insurance number and be registered self employed.

My friend wants to visit for just a few months and work with me, earn some money then go home. She is Latvian (part of eu).

Does she need national insurance etc? or is there a way for short stay workers??

I can't find the answer searching on google..

Yes, she needs an NI number.

She will also be taxed (inc NI) in the UK on UK earnings exceeding allowances/reliefs (she shouldn't be exposed tax on UK earnings back home due to double taxation treaty in place).

If she doesn't work a whole yr in the UK, she may be entitled to a tax refund upon her repatriation.
