Would you take a lower paid job to escape bully boss?

Thanks everyone. If I'm lucky enough to get the new job it would cover all essential costs, I'd just have less disposable income. Which I've decided is worth it. As others have said, health and wellbeing is the most important thing.

I've tried talking to my boss's boss (and their friend!!) and when I mentioned bullying I was told they 'didn't want to hear about it'. I am in a union and in contact with them, but really starting to feel the best thing will be to get out. I've started having attacks at work, which I'm coping with but at the end of the day I shouldn't have to.

Thanks again to everyone, and good to luck to everyone else who's in a similar situation.

I have recently been in that situation and taken a different job in the same organisation on £4k less to escape a bully. It totally changed my life, so although things can be a struggle financially now from time to time, every day when I go into work I smile to myself and think how lucky I am not to work with that awful person any more. I don't have any regrets about my decision.

    Good luck with your situation.
