I was devastated! I had friends from Australia leave the day after the wedding so I think that made it worse!

Our honeymoon was nearly 6months after the wedding so i focused on that planning lots to do... think I comfort ate a bit too much also lol

ive been married before, and i was exactly the same, i think you're missing the organisation. As previous people have said, focus on the next project, Christmas is good because its quite a way away.

I never had the post wedding blues, but I attribute that to trying to keep my feet on the ground while planning.
It's easy to just be completely focussed on wedding planning, and ignore all the other things in your life.
But I kept up with my netball & other sports, and tried not to let the planning take up all of my weekends, so I could see friends etc.
So after the wedding, it was more of a relief that I could focus even more of my time on the important things in life again.

That's slightly patronising :rotfl: and doesn't really help to answer the original question which was aimed at people who DID get post-wedding blues :)

I didn't mean it to be patronising, just offering a different view.
Plus, there are hints in my post for things to keep people occupied, such as doing sports, or other hobbies that they did before wedding planning took over, or making time to catch up with friends & family.

It is definitely not the planning I miss! I found that stressful towards the end, but actually spread it out alot so it didn't take over my life.

I actually miss the happy, positive chat with friends and family and having such a lovely big occasion to look forward to. Now we're all back to chatting about work etc which is nowhere near as fun! And there are lots of people I won't see again for a long time.

I know how you feel, 6 months on and i still miss the buzz and excitement of planning the wedding.

Photos, thank you cards, videos and settling into living together have kept me busy though.

The other thing we have done is celebrate our month anniversaries, and its been really nice, going to do for at least 12 months - a cheap hotel break (premier Inn £19 rooms were great!), a nice meal out or omething simple, nothing extravagent, but just a time for us to spend time together.

We still haven't got our wedding video and hoping to have it for our 7 month anniversary and sit with a bottle of champagne and watch it.

One more thing - if you got any vouchers for your wedding spend them slowly (as long as there is no risk of the shop going bust) as it prolongs the wedding feelings!

I hope your foot gets better soon
