Even on interest only mortgages a lender should have the
"keep my payments the same option"
Any payment that exceeds the current interst due reduces the capital which will be all ofthe em one there is an overpayment to start the process.

My repayment vehicle, such that it is, is to overpay. I have contacted my mortgage provider and switched the overpayments to the interest only portion and, after a lot of badgering, managed to get them to put me on consistent payments.
