  • The 2012 scheme is live now - it's currently only applicable for new cases where there are four or more children involved. This staggered launch has been in place since last December, and the plan is to open it up to new cases with 2 or more kids shortly.

......and start charging people for using it.
  • Charging won't come in until next year at the earliest, and even then I'd not be too surprised to see that put back - it's such a political hot potato, would the Tories risk alienating potential voters so close to the next election?

It needn't be a hot potato - it was actually the Labour government that legislated for charging in the first place.

Personally I think there's a lot to be said for giving both sides an incentive to make their own arrangements - or at least allow the NRP to pay their assessed liability directly to the PWC and save some money in the process.
  • seems im being punished for paying the csa for 14 years ,i was assessed 2 years ago under csa1 and pay £340 a month ,nowhere near what a new case will pay ,iv never missed a payment inall that time but still im treated like crap
