I have just received some spices for Indian curries that I ordered off Ebay, and one of the recipes asks for fenugreek leaves.
Any idea what they look like and where I could get some from

You should be able to get it dried from a big supermarket or an ethnic shop - it's often called methi so if you look for that you're probably more likely to find it. It looks just like a jar/packet of normal dried herbs, sort of green and crispy lol. It isn't used fresh as it only becomes more pungent when it's dried.0

Thanks, do you think Asda would have it, and would it be in the spices section ?You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Yes Asda should have it. I've seen it in Sainsbury's, in the herbs and spices section. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

I must be mad, usually on Saturday night I just sit back with a glass of wine and wait for that nice man from the takeaway to arrive
Now, thanks to this site, I think I would rather make my own and know what's in itYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Plus, if it's edible, I will save a fortune. A takeaway usually costs about £20 for 2 of us, but I ordered enough spices to make 10 different curries for £2.40 plus £1.50 p&p.
I might even have a go at naan bread in my BMYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
