You write and tell them that you wish all communication to be in writing from now on. Send it Special Delivry so it has to be signed for (think that's Special Delivery, some one correct me if I'm wrong.) Then they shouldn't ring.

I was advised by the CCCS to stop paying my creditors and to use that money for my BR Fees. With regards to the phonecalls write to them and inform then that all future contact must be in writing and failure to do this will result in the matter being taken further (again advised by CCCS), apparently you can do them for harassment if they continue to phone you after receiving your letter. MAKE SURE YOU SEND IT RECORDED OR SPECIAL DELIVERY because you can then check the Royal Mail website to see if it has been signed for and they cannot deny receiving it, even if they dont read it, they signed for it.

    Hope this helps.

Again , thanks all . Been doing all the claiming (so I can list amounts on BR form) and its amazing , local council been superb , Working Tax Credit/Child Tax Credit people infinitely stupid .....we have now rung them 3 times just to tell them I am no longer earning (would think it would be simple to put this on the computer) , they got it wrong (failed to show OH earnings). OH rang them and corrected that (came back with my current years earnings now shown as last years plus an extra zero at the end !!!!!!) , I rang back and they apologised .............I asked if I could have a guarantee it would be right this time and they wouldnt be chasing me for overpayment later.......they said it would be ......WE SHALL SEE.

OK rant over , still ploughing through the final parts of the online BR form , hope to file soon , glad I have this place to vent my anger .

As someone mentioned earlier go to the job centre and see if you are getting the benefits that you are entitled to as you may only have to pay the £335 OR fee and not the court fee of £150. I only paid £335 to go bankrupt as i get child & working tax credits. Hope this helps and good luck

Thanks Kerry ...................this now raises a new question , last I heard the BR fee was £370 inclusive , I take it that is wrong (might need to hit the CC again while I can ).????

kerryboo is correct. £335 if on benefits. Some courts you deal with will waive the £150 whatever. It's a lottery on that unfortunately. If you dont ask you don't get, or as we say where I come from, "shy bairns get nowt"!
