Free home valuation

Can anyone recommend a remortgage provider with current reasonable rates who offer a free valuation that is over and above the basic drive-by valuation (think it's a homebuyers valuation, not sure of the terminology) as i'm not getting any joy from a drive-by valuation and am reluctant to fork out for the more extensive valuation unless i have a good chance of the house being valued at what i think it's worth

Thanks

First Direct were free for us not long ago (fee free offset product), but we got in just before they tightened up their criteria, so things may have changed now.

I don't know of any lender which offers a "free" homebuyer's report. Typically, the best you'll get is a free mortgage report and valuation, however, the lender will decide if it wants an internal inspection or a drive-by, based on the purpose (purchase or remortgage) and the loan to value.
