Vanquish Credit Card Approval

Hi All
Haven't been on for a while but thought you may like to know that I was accepted for a Vanquish card a few days ago. Discharged last September. So, for those of you worried about ever obtaining credit again after BR, it is possible. Obviously not to pile up the debt again but to rebuild your credit worthiness.
I'm not sure of the credit limit at this stage but she was offering me a cash advice of £200.

Hey lala! Me too, Ive just had a letter from Vanquis to say they will be increasing my credit limit from £500 to £1000 on the 21st May. I also now have a mobile phone contract, a capital one card and have applied and been accepted for an Aqua card.
I have used the Vanquis for Fuel and shopping each month and paid it in full since November. I havent really been using the Capital One but I need the Aqua advance card the most as it free to use 'abroad' I buy my fuel in the south of Ireland so theres a charge with the Vanquis. I pay everything in full each month and I can really see the benefit of it on Noddle.
All the best, I hope you are keeping well

Congratulations on getting your credit card. I haven't applied for any and I'm 5 years post BR. I have thought about it from time to time but at the moment I am relieved that I didn't ever do so. I recently lost my job and I am so glad that I don't have debt repayments to find.

I got a Vanquis card over a year ago - the plan was to use it to build credit rating. Never even activated it, so Vanquis de-activated the card ☺2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)

Just curious, what's it like being bankrupt? I'm a student, who has 3 credit cards, 1 current account, 1 student account and 1 savers account with my current account and have never paid a penny of interest ever since getting my credit cards.0

Hi
I was wondering to the people who got a vanquis card had you cleared your credit file first and did you have any ccjs. I was discharged in February and just now looking at clearing my credit file but I have ccjs. My husband also went BR at same time and his credit file is looking better as no ccjs. We were both wanting a credit card just to help repair credit which will be paid off in full each month (just using for diesel ect and we dont want further debt but would like to repair credit for any future circumstances). Anyone have any advice on how long to wait and any advice whilst applying ect.
Thank you for reading
