Confused over eye test and new prescription

Hi all,
I had an eye test yesterday and my astigmatism has got worse, which i expected, but they said that I now have no short sighted prescription which i don't understand because it was previously around -1.50 so how can this 'disappear'? can it be 'replaced' by a detection of astimgmatic deterioration? I rang them and they said it was right but I'm still not sure!
Any advice much appreciated!!

AIUI people naturally develop a degree of long sightedness as they get older so an improvement in shortsightedness is not uncommon as you age.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
