I need an ironing board

But not just any ironing board! I want one that I will keep forever, and wont break, and is good for heavy duty ironing (not that I do much, but do have heavy military uniforms that killed a cheap ironing board), but doesn't cost the earth.

Ideally its going to be available on the high street so I can go and get one ASAP. Have you seen any good quality ironing boards on offer recently? If so, please tell me where!

I was recently looking for a similar item due to purchasing a new steam generator iron. Found a great one in TK Maxx, very sturdy and large without weighing a tonne, which a lot of the better quality ones seem to. Very reasonably priced as well.

I relaise some of the items TK Maxx have may be store speciifc but defnitely worth a look if you are near to on.e

Not quite High Street but Costco do a lovely, wide ironing board. Not sure which make or the price even. My daughter in law has one and I would like one too. Great for duvet covers etc.

I have had mine since I bought my first house in 1973 and it is unlikely that I will ever replace it, just the covers. Countless irons over the years though.
