I no I've mentioned this in other posts but looking for some guidance or answers .. I asked my local CAB but she was not able to help ..
So I'm now BR with my husband as of 10/04
We r Jon rented accommodation n pay our council tax .. Under our SOA we have £25 surplus
We got told by our council that due to class c exception being removed from April we now have to pay for our old home ( waiting for NRAM to reposess as we refused the deed of acknowledgement to voluntry reposess ) this is £95 a month and we don't have it .. council said we have to pay CAB said its whole new process and as we put it in petition let the OR n council fight it out .. However I'm stressed council chasing me OR not called .. N stuck with what to do the bill is not classed as overdue

check with your OR what is covered in the BR.
If you are on means tested benefits, then your CC will be reduced, you will only have to pay a percentage of it, ask them to make sure they are billing with the deduction taken off the bill.
You can also ask for them to take the money straight out of your benefits, it's much easier.
If not on benefits, and you still can't pay, then you need to ring your council or go in and talk to them about it, they may take smaller payments, it's always best to keep talking as this slow the process down, which gives you more time to pay.
Whatever you do don't ignore the letters, as CC is one bill you can't ignore.0 -
As yet no demands from them so just keep going along .. Hopefully get some answers from OR next week on call0
