Redundancy / Employer reference problem

I'm hoping someone may be able to offer some guidance on a slight dilemma i'm having with my jobseeking.
I got made redundant in February, due to the company going into liquidation. It was my father's company and I had worked there for the past seven years.
Now, the problems I have are:
a.) References - What details can I give, if any? I can't really give them a reference written by my dad. Do I just explain that the company has gone into liquidation and I have no reference from them?
b.) Do I tell the potential employers that I worked for my dad? Without blowing my own horn, i'm really good at what I do and worked very hard for the family business, but i'm worried that employers will think I just floated along as the owners daughter.
Any advice / opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you'll have P60's / Wage Slips / P45s etc? I've just gone through reference checking where the original company didn't respond to a reference request. They didn't respond to a proper Subject Access Request _either_, but since I had all the documentation, there wasn't a problem.
As to being the bosses daughter, just tell them it was a family business...0
