Help me to organise pampering day for MIL

Dear moneysavers,
My mother in law is coming to visit us in June-July and my hubby asked me to organise for her and me some type of "girlie pampering day" to cheer her up as she is recovering from huge stress. Now, the problem is that she hates water and steam, saunas, so the easiest and most logical solution- SPA day would not work. I keep my eyes open for the Groupon deals, but from my experience it is a bit of hit and miss situation and the last thing I want is to take her to some dodgy scary salon  Of course, the less I spend- the better. Would you please help me to organise and plan a day out? I am in London.

Mini facial followed by a make-up session at a salon followed by afternoon tea at a nice hotel (I was going to say the Ritz, but that's probably not very MSE!)

Or nails done somewhere, followed by an afternoon matinee performance at the cinema or theatre?

Or some combination of the above?

No water/steam etc. involved, but I would feel pampered after that...

Expensive but so worth it, or maybe you can DIY with items from the Lush shop/. I used to work at Lush and know if you went into any of their shops and explained your situation the would put together a basket of goodies for you to take home and spoil her with....
If you don't ask, you don't get! ;)
