The credit report is straightforward and easy to cancel. I didn't get any junk mail or hassle at all.

It's worth bearing in mind that you only get 200 points (£2) for doing this through Pigsback but Quidco offer £5 cash. If you're a member of both sites then you'd be better off signing up via Quidco.

It sounds suspiciously like they have closed your account.
Do you have more than one account in your house?

Can they just do this, without any warning?

I can't help you directly, but can offer some hope and good news.
Other people have gone through this and have managed to confirm to pigsback that there are two people using one pc and have had the accounts reinstated.
Some one will no doubt give you more details on here soon.
